About Lodge St John
Formal MeetingsLodge meetings are generally scheduled for the last Wednesday of the month with a few notable exceptions:
- Installation (February)
- Lodge recess (July, December)
Dress is formal (Black Tie) for Brethren of Lodge St. John and Visitors to the Masonic Meeting or Harmony Dinner should arrive in a dark suit with tie.
In the interest in cultivating knowledge in our Brethren and non-Masons alike, an informal monthly gathering the third Tuesday of every month is hosted at a restaurant conveniently located along Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok, easily reached via the Skytrain BTS.
Masonic Discussion: 7-8:00PM, Consists of light masonic subjects in a FAQ or Q & A format.
Non-Masonic Social evening: 8-10:00PM, Open to non-masons, it is an opportunity to get to know each other better.
On the first Wednesday of every month we have an informal dinner evening at a different restaurant each month. This is open to all, but do make a reservation.
Bangkok Masonic Hall
Due to the strong desire within the Lodge to have their own Temple, a plot of land was arranged by a Lodge Brother and the Lodge raised considerable funds from the Brethren, in Thailand. In addition, very generous contributions were made by Brethren from other parts of the District. The Building was designed by the late Brother Krisda Arunvongse, PM, and was constructed under Masonic Brethren specialist supervision. Lodge St John settled into their new Temple Building in Bangkok and it was Consecrated in 2004.Lodge St. John meets there on the last Wednesday of each month, except February (Installation), July and December (Recess). The Bangkok Masonic Hall is home to a number of lodges.
